The rain has relented
for the time being at Wantage Road, but it’s still very grey and it would be
odds against getting all the remaining overs in today – and Middlesex will welcome
any further time taken out of the game.
The visitors have
developed a solid partnership for the third wicket. Dawid Malan has gone to a
60-ball fifty to lead his side’s progress. There’s plenty more to do – they would need
to bat until tea tomorrow to make the game safe, but a good start here and
runs up the order that they didn’t have first time around.
Mercifully for your BBC radio team, the chilly breeze that made it rather uncomfortable yesterday has
eased today and though the mercury is only a degree or two higher, it feels
